Syracuse Outdoors For All (or SOFA) is founded on the belief that the outdoors is for everyone. Our passion is providing outdoor based education classes, gear for outdoor adventures, and professionally guided single and multi day trips for everyone! We are dedicated to making the outdoors accessible and enjoyable for all, regardless of age, ability, or experience level. Our team is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring that everyone feels empowered to explore and connect with nature.
How buying gear through SOFA works!
SOFA is an independently owned small business. In order to keep costs down and provide discounted, quality gear to you, we carry a limited amount of basic essentials in stock. For all other equipment, you can view a number of outdoor retailer partners' inventory and place an order with us with one of our bi-monthly (twice a month) equipment orders. Not only does this keep shipping emissions low and reduce our impact on the environment, but it lets you select EXACTLY the gear you want without worrying about what sizes or colors we have in stock.
A few benefits of ordering with SOFA (besides supporting small business!) is a 10% discount on EVERY item you order and no shipping fees (so long as you can pickup locally at our bi-monthly Pick-up events!)

At SOFA we are committed to reducing waste and unnecessary emissions. Our unique supplier to buyer retail model eliminates excess shipping, packaging, and production.
By carrying a minimal amount of basics and essentials, we ensure we reduce our impact by not partaking in excess shipping and the impact that has on our natural spaces.
Our monthly custom orders allow us to submit one single order to make the process more efficient and therefore more environmentally friendly.

At Syracuse Outdoors For All, we are deeply committed to giving back to the community. We support local environmental conservation efforts and organize clean-up events.
